Highly jointed structure. Spheroidal weathering. Fractured and uneven surface. Laterally continuous, vertical pipe-like filled vesicles. Altered pyroclastic layer at upper-flow contact
Lithology:
Weathering effects are strong, giving rise to spheroidal forms. Absence of typical pipe amygdules but presence of pipe-like filled vesicles. Contact zone alteration indicates interaction between pyroclastic layer and the succeeding flow.
